Supporting the Mini Magpies
The team at Brickability Bridgend were delighted this month to support local sports team, Brackla RFC, by sponsoring new training tops for the ‘Mini Magpies' - a local rugby training group for under 7s. The team brings together children from the local area for rugby training with Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) qualified coaches and plenty of fun!
With donations from local businesses key to funding the club, as well as the unpredictable weather, it was fair to say the children were delighted to have their new kit to keep them warm during their Sunday morning match. As well as new training kit, the Brickability Bridgend team were very pleased to also sponsor the Pencoed RFC M&J Rugby Festival, a two day event for all age groups, where the Mini Magpies also got to meet Welsh professional rugby union player Sam Costelow. The team are very pleased to be able to support the club and help enable them to continue to deliver the training and fun that all the kids enjoy!
Brackla RFC was established in 1987 and was reformed in 2009. As a club, they firmly believe that children can develop a huge amount of skills from playing rugby including respect, teamwork and concentration.
