Concrete Bricks and Sustainability
Many of the concrete bricks that we supply are not fired in the same way as clay bricks. Usually referred to as ‘curing’, these concrete bricks require much lower temperatures to produce and therefore less energy is consumed during production.
Including low water absorption and thermal efficiency, concrete bricks offer developments many additional benefits. Chiefly though, a concrete brick will gain in strength over its lifetime, offering your project a long lifespan.
As with clay bricks, concrete options are also 100% recyclable and both products are on par in terms of carbon use per m2.
