By using thin natural stone panels, Aztec stone cladding is a lightweight, ventilated and more sustainable alternative to traditional natural stone.

Available in 20mm, 30mm or 40mm panels, the system is installed using stainless-steel clips in a horizontal kerf which is then attached to a T-rail using Tek screws. This efficient method not only saves time on site but also reduces energy consumption and support requirements.

To design your facade and specify the right stone, our teams and the manufacturer are on hand to offer specification and technical guidance as well stone samples. Once ordered, we will ensure your natural stone cladding arrives on time, ready for installation.

The System

Aztec stone cladding is a self-supporting attachment system that allows installers to fit stone panels to a helping hand bracket system or a stainless-steel framing system by means of stainless-steel clips.

The system components are:

  • 20mm, 30mm or 40mm thick stone panels
  • A vertical T-rail with the following dimensions: 120mm x 60mm x 2.8mm
  • 4x4 stainless steel clips
  • Neoprene strips
  • Stainless steel self-tapping screws
  • Support brackets

Aztec stone cladding has been developed to make the structure as light as possible, without compromising on strength or integrity. The system will only add 1.5 Kg/m2 of weight to the stone, meaning that a ventilated facade will be approximately 20mm thick and will weigh around 55 Kg/m2.
