Brick Slips

Our bricks slips are available in two formats, either cut from a traditional brick or as a purposefully made slip.

Through both manufacturing methods, the aesthetic of a facing brick is maintained while introducing weight, sustainability and efficiency benefits for modern day construction.

We can supply the full range of materials required for your brick slip system, including individual slips and backing panels. Our team can also support through the design and specification process.

Once a brick tile has been manufactured it will then need to be combined with a substrate or backing system.

Depending on where you’re installing your brick slips, the method and materials will change in response to the project and environment. From individual slip tiles to brick slip panels or full brick cladding systems, our teams can advise on the solutions available.

To complete your project, we can supply a range of brick slip corners, headers or pistol brick slips.

  • Brick Slips

    Brick slips are typically cut to a thickness of 20mm. However, through our manufacturing partners we can create brick slips at varying thicknesses between 20mm and 65mm.

    Additionally, through our strong relationships with multiple brick slip fabricators, we can offer brick slips that are cut from - or mimic - almost every brick on the market.

    Due to their 100% clay content, brick slips themselves are inherently non-combustible. We can also supply eco slips and purpose-made slips that are certified as carbon neutral.

  • Brick Slip Panels

    A brick slip panel can refer to a wide range of brick slip and substrate combinations that are prefabricated off-site before being delivered to your project ready for installation.

    This prefabricated method has many benefits, including quality control, cost efficiency and quick installation. This can be particularly beneficial for projects on tight construction timelines as these key elements can be removed from the critical path.

    As well as external installation, brick slip panels are suitable for internal use and can be a great way to bring the beauty of brick indoors.

  • Brick Slip Systems

    A brick slip system typically refers to a cut or purpose-made brick that is mechanically fixed to steel rails for an attractive and consistent finish.

    Brick slip systems are commonly used on mid to high-rise buildings as well as on refurbishment and reclad projects. Lighter than traditional masonry, brick slip systems are also often thinner, allowing space for insulation and great thermal performance.

    We can specify and supply a number of A1 fire-rated brick slip systems. Please speak to our teams for technical guidance and for the benefits of each system.

Indoor and outdoor design

Brick slips are not only for large external cladding projects. In recent years, there has been growing demand for brick slip systems for smaller, internal domestic projects.

Brick slips are a beautiful solution for a number of interior brick applications, including feature kitchen walls, rustic fireplace surrounds and internal chimney breasts. Alternately, you can continue your external brickwork internally by using brick slip cladding across the majority of your domestic space.

There’s also no need to demolish existing walls when using a brick slip system. Their slim profile means they can be installed directly over most surfaces, making them ideal for recladding or renovation projects where time, cost, and disruption need to be kept to a minimum.
