Brick Services Host Annual Ball for Heel & Toe Foundation

We were delighted to once again support North East based children's charity Heel & Toe with their annual ball on Friday 6th October at the Grand Hotel, Gosforth Park. This year was the 4th time the Brick Services team have supported the ball and we were delighted that several colleagues, customers and friends attended, including our divisional colleagues Bricklink, CPG and LBT.

Based in County Durham, the Heel & Toe children's charity receives no government funding, relying solely on donations and fundraising in order to provide free conductive therapy to children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities. Established in 2008, their hard-working and dedicated team provide a range of other vital therapies including occupational therapy, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, SEN tutoring and speech and language therapy.

The charity is one of particular importance to the Brick Services team, as colleague Mark Ward's son William was born with cerebral palsy and discovering the charity was a real turning point for Mark and his family. They attend regularly where the charity provides a number of essential therapies to support William, as well as offering a community of support along with other families. It was for this reason that the Brickability Group also selected the charity as the Foundation Trust's Charity of the Year 2023.

The 2023 ball was 'Mamma Mia' themed, with Greek style table decorations, games and performances from a local young dance club. A brilliant evening was had by all with drinks and dancing and we are delighted to confirm that an incredible £43,000 was raised! We look forward to continuing to support the incredible work of this charity in the coming years.
