Cast into custom moulds and dried at ambient temperatures, the slips are then dressed to achieve your desired aesthetic. Due to this method, our brick slips all perform the same way, no matter their colour, texture or size. As they are not fired using a kiln, the brick slips won’t shrink or warp, assuring tolerances and quality control. Their colour is also not produced through firing, ensuring further consistency. Bond pattern and joint spacing is prepared under factory settings using a mesh carrier, meaning quality-control continues during on-site installation. - ## Sustainabrick® for Developers Insulation, weatherproofing and the aesthetic facade are all included within the Sustainabrick® wall build-up, creating an EWI system that doesn't require a cavity tray or fire barrier. Combined with the 13mm brick slips – a 40% reduction on standard 22mm slips - Sustainabrick® provides a significantly thinner cladding solution. Our standard brick slips are the same dimensions as standard facing bricks in all but their thickness, therefore you would need 60 bricks per sqm. Twelve brick slips are used per Sustainabrick® panel, so to achieve one square metre on a project, five panels are required. Pallets are then packaged in quantities of 44m2. Can I use Sustainabrick® brick cladding above 18m? According to the Sustainabrick® fire test certificate from Efectis ([cert EUI-24-000831](https://brickability.co.uk/uploads/documents/EUI-24-000831-Classification-report.pdf)) the system is fully certified in accordance with Annex B of BR 135 (3rd edition):2013 and BS 8414-2:2020. When installed to the standards specified in this certificate, the cladding can be used above 18m. Can we choose our own brick slip finish? Yes, the Sustainabrick® system allows the specifier the option to create their own unique colour and finish, including large format and linear options. [Brick Finder](https://brickability.co.uk/brick-finder) How are brick slips installed onsite when using the Sustainabrick® brick cladding system? The brick slips can be installed from scaffold mast climbers and can be fitted in any direction, even from top down if required. Panels are typically fitted to cement particle (CP) board, insulation, concrete or overclad to existing facades. Watertightness is achieved from the first pass of the adhesive used in the Sustainabrick system, allowing internal work to progress even if weather conditions bring external work to a halt. Our brick slip mortar is then applied between the brick slips and adjacent panels to create a conventional brick finish. Can Sustainabrick® be used internally? Yes, the Sustainabrick® brick cladding system is suitable for internal installation.
