The idea was to provide a modern working environment for the new headquarters of a leading British fashion brand whilst paying respect to the historic brick and faience terracotta of the surrounding buildings. ## Concept The client wanted to use Corten steel across the facade, which, as it oxidises, puts its very own unique 'protective coating' of an orangey-brown 'rust' over the top. Not only is this an attractive finish, it also ties in well with the red brick of Manchester. The difficulty was twofold in that Architectural Facades had to make the Corten fins light enough to fix to the glass curtain walling system, whilst still showing no visible fixings, so that the architect’s aspirations that they look like they are 'floating' across the facade were met. ![Architectural Facades supplies Armourclad Metal Cladding to Tribeca House, Dale Street.](https://brickability.co.uk/uploads/images/Projects/Dale-Street/_640x700_crop_center-center_none/BoohooHQ-13-Large.jpg) ![Boohoo HQ 12 Large](https://brickability.co.uk/uploads/images/Projects/Dale-Street/_640x700_crop_center-center_none/BoohooHQ-12-Large.jpg) ## Completion As a solution, Architectural Facades came up with a unique way to cover a super lightweight honeycomb aluminium with a thin Corten steel, which is similar to technology used in the aerospace industry.
