# Proudly part of the Builders Merchants Federation

**Alfiam Building Supplies is proud to announce its new membership with the Builders Merchant Federation (BMF)!**

With a vision to help members ‘build excellence’, the BMF provides several benefits to businesses and their teams, including:

- Opportunities for training and development
- Ongoing business support
- Access to valuable market data
- Networking opportunities
- Representation within politics

Kyle and Gemma from the Alfiam team are already signed up for the ‘Increasing sales over the phone’ course, and it will be fantastic to see staff members grow and develop whilst helping the business to succeed.

Matt is also making the most of the membership by attending the BMF’s Transport & Distribution Forum on the 2nd July 2025 in Warwick. Open to both suppliers and merchants, the forum will cover a range of topics with the key aim of addressing the most important issues for transport and distribution managers and directors. We’re particularly interested in hearing from other merchants about innovations in the industry, new regulations and the benefits of newer technologies such as electric lorries. One aspect of the BMF membership that particularly appeals to us is its growing support for suppliers and service members—an area that has seen increasing focus in recent years.
