Yes, we’ve only partnered with leading laminate flooring manufacturers who offer a water-resistant coating, so that our customers can install laminate flooring anywhere in their home. Even in the laminate flooring grooves, your surface will no longer be subject to moisture problems. How is laminate flooring made? Laminate flooring is made up of 4 layers: - A transparent, protective overlay - A design layer with your chosen finish - A high-density fibre (HDF) board for strength - A backing board for stability and balance Combined, these layers create a durable product that’s easier to lay and maintain than other flooring options. Is laminate flooring sustainable? As laminate flooring is made up of over 50% wood, a renewable and sustainable resource, it is an environmentally friendly option. For their HDF boards, our flooring partners only use recovered wood, collected from sawmills and forest management, that could not be utilised for other applications. Additionally, all of our laminate flooring is PEFC and FSC certifies, guaranteeing sustainably managed forests. How should I lay my laminate flooring? Our laminate flooring is so easy to install, DIYers can do it themselves. By using a convenient click system, no glue is required and no staining or mess occurs. Ensure you have the quantity you need and the underlay or insulation in place before you begin laying. Then, we recommend starting with your longest wall before moving onto your second row and clicking that into place adjacently. Sawing will be required to fit the space exactly and we’d recommend finishing the area with skirting, profiles and other detail touches.
