By using thin stone cladding panels, the rainscreen system has the potential to utilise three times the amount of stone when compared to thick 100mm blocks. Our Torstone rainscreen cladding offers a vast range of sandstone, limestone, granite and slate, with a whole variety of colours, tones and textures also available. Typically, Torstone is 25kg per 10mm, so for 30mm stone panels it is usually 75kg/m2. This is similar to brick slips. Can we use any type of stone with Torstone cladding? As all stone types will have different performance levels, the appropriate stone will depend on both location and application. Please get in touch and we can offer our advice on stone types, depending on the specification. Do we have to seal the joints on Torstone cladding?
